Hot damn tamale! These files are totally unencumbered, meaning you can copy
and move them around like plain old regular mp3 files. No DRM (digital rights
management) or "streaming only" preventing you from doing whatever
you like with these songs. Once you buy them, you own them.
Albums in mp3 format range from $5 and $10. Entire albums come
in one zipped file and are about 35 meg. This will take a person on a dsl/cable
connection about 15 minutes to download. About 45 minutes for dial up.
Thus far you can purchase and download several Dr Theopolis titles:
The Voice of the Future, Astronomical, Live at the Crystal Ballroom 2001,
and several oddities like the songs Dr Theopolis contributed to the Deep
Roots compilations, alternate takes, skits from The Playa EP, and remixes.

Oldschool Houserock Compilations are the best
The one that started it all. This CD featrues 10 "Poptastic" songs
by the best acts of Portland circa 2004. Hand picked by Oldschool Houserock
president Mark Mager. Several tracks not available anywhere else: Charmparticles
Ripcord not found on any other CP recording and Susie Blue's Swedish
Kiss was only available from the 3 song Susie Blue Sampler, long
since discountinued. Dr Theopolis' Voice of the Future is the
scratchy remix version, not available on the band's album release. Ex
American Girls (Trauma Records) bass player Aaron Masonek is still
at work on his first solo album and his song Everyone Cries Her Name could
very well be his only release. Exciting and rare cuts for only $6.
