Van Der Werff, Mark 59 Sept. 15, 1951 May 30, 2011
“Marko” Van Der Werff passed away at his
home amongst friends and loved ones. He was born in
San Francisco where he grew up and lived through the
70s. Marko was drawn to the rock n roll lifestyle and
lived a full life celebrating it. In the 80s, he lived
in LA during the punk and metal years, Seattle during
the 90s and Portland through the 00s. He loved cars,
motorcycles and surfing. Most of all he loved music.
All styles and all genres. He collected amps, guitars
and played in several bands all his life. His uncle
Paul can be remembered as the man responsible for starting
Marko's passion for the guitar at a very young age.
He is survived by his father Lyle, an aunt, Norma Jean
Fingarson, and two cousins Kevin and Jeffery Flowers.
A memorial will be held at Lewis & Clark State Park
June 26th.
