Summer 2011
(-)
Hookah Stew (that's us) will be performing at the
ROCK FOR FOOD! benefit, Friday August 19th at Moby Dicks
in Newport , OR, a benefit for the food share of Lincoln
County. Free entry with 2 non perishable food items. That's
a lot of Hookah Stew to see for a very small donation.
(-) Hookah
Stew (again that's us) will be returning to one
of our many homes, Portland, OR, where Johnny Young did
his time with rock band Assisted Living in the early 2000s.
(Check out their Happily Ever After album for more
Johnny Young guitar. ) Joining the Stew will be local Portlanders
The
Commodorks, an 8-bit duo who jams on an Atari 2600
and Commodore 64 and features Dr.
Theopolis member Mark Mager.

(-)
Hookah Stew coming to the Whiskey A Go-Go
in beautiful Hollywood. Plenty of other acts on the bill
for all to enjoy. Darling Your Stunning, Otenki,
Yard of Blondes, Song Preservation Society,
Arianna Sloane and more, so much more.
It all goes down on Thursday July 14th at
the Whiskey A Go-Go and is an ALL AGES event. Why
not roll on up, roll on in and then roll on out. If that
doesn't make sense then you need to come to a world famous
Hookah Stew performance to find out.
---------------------
(-) News,
rumors and updates on The Stew, about The Stew
and the people they talk to. We have advanced tracks from
the upcoming album and the Stew wants to share. Consider
this your early summer single.
The Funeral and Electric Satellite
are the latest tracks to be foisted on an unsupecting public.
Watch for a full release this summer.

Oregon. Its our home away from home when its not being our
home. Don't forgetz to stop by ze Hookah
facebook.

Summer 2010
(-) Summer is close,
and we're jazzed to finally be out that dreary stuff Portland
lets loose on us most of the time. Really though, its kind
of a moot point, because we type these words from lovely
Petersburg, Alaska! We flew up a couple days ago, and found
our gear waiting for us on stage. We're here to rock Kito's
Kave (the local music venue), and entertain the graduating
class of 2010! Last night was cool seeing all our friends
on the Island who came out to rock out with us...
This week will be a party up here, and if we're lucky,
we'll leave with our livers intact!
(-) Studio news: We
recorded some drum tracks for a few new tunes with uber-studer-duder
Tony Esperance at BayVu Studios down on the Oregon Coast...
it sounds slammin! We cant wait to get back in there and
do some more work. The songs show a lot of growth musically,
and each song has its own vibe. We hope to finally offer
up a new record to you by the middle of this Summer...keep
yer fingers crossed...Thanks Tony!
(-) Look for us in
Lake Tahoe next month for a stint at The Cabo Wabo Cantina
at Harveys by the lake, and of course a return appearance
at one of our fav's...Warehouse 101!
(-) This Independence
day weekend (July 3rd) we return to where the stew originated...Trout
Lake, Wa.!!! We cant wait for this show. HS started out
there as kids about 16 years ago, (really?) and have yet
to wise up. Those seeking a great time in a super chill
place with stellar people should come up, and join us for
a little R&R (both kinds)...
See you at the BIG rock show!
Spring 2010
(-) Road Rash 2010
We have had some interesting times on the road. After the
NAMM show, we headed to Hermosa to chill at the beach. Found
a cool little hostel right on the pier for $25 a night!
Everyone there was really cool, and the tourists enjoyed
the Ninkasi beer samples we were feeding them...PROST!
Headed to San Pedro on Wednesday, to find a crew filming
a movie. We think our poster made it into the scene. Everyone
at Harolds rocked! Thanks to Superunloaded for opening up.
We'll be back! Love you Pedro!
Thursday, we headed south for our show in Huntington Beach
at the Blue cafe. We had a blast! All the bands rocked!
Thanks for having us over! We drove out after the show for
Santa Barbara to get a jump on our Friday show. We were
stopped by the SB cops for not looking rich, had our van
illegally searched, and towed... leaving us on the street
at 3am in a rainstorm....to serve and protect?
We found a Motel 6 and barely slept, counting the hours
til the verdict came in. Would we be allowed to pay the
bill and be on our way? Nope. They want to hold Van a' White
for 30 days?! WTF?
We rallied, rented a Uhaul, and showed up at The Creekside
a bit phased, but ready to rock. Heidi warmed up on the
pole, which put us in a better mood, an made for an inspiring
soundcheck. Thanks to Jules for taking good care of us,
and to Heidi for the place to crash!
Headed out the next day for Grover Beach. Home of Mongo's
Saloon (one of our favs!) Great to see all our Central Coast
fans!!! We drank a whole bunch, and took some frustration
out on our gear to appease the rock gods. Thanks to JD for
the place to crash!
We continued north a few hours and checked into a fleabag
outside of Fresno. The next morning we found someone had
picked the master lock on the Uhaul, but nothing was missing.
(?) We figure the thieves were scared off right before they
planned to jack us....weird!
"What next?" we asked ourselves. We want to apologize
to The Grant and Green in SF, and Bradleys in Stockton for
having to cancel due to the current sitch...we'll make it
up to ya's...promise!
The tour rolls on, and wraps where it began...Warehouse
101!!!
rock!
Winter 2009
(-) Happy
Holidaze from the Stew. We'll be hitting the
road soon enough and playing shows up and down the West
Coast again this 2010. Look for us, and we'll look for you.
Don't forget that Hookah
Stew hoodies and shirts make great gifts. You
can always gift something to yourself too.
Summer 2009
(-) Happy Summer
everybody! The weather has been awesome, and we hope it
stays nice during our time in Alaska!
There are many reasons to go to beautiful Alaska. Rocking
nightly, writing and recording, and to help Johnny get off
the Chewy Lemonheads and Friends once and for all!
We take off mid July and will return in September for a
few NW shows before heading South on our "Pink Tennis
Ball Revival" Tour '09.
After that, we start in on what will be HS's greatest CD
to date! Get ready for at least dozen groovy tunes on a
interactive disc that should arrive by Spring 2010...futuristic!
Look for updates and new additions to the HS merch store
weekly!
RocknRoll!!
(-) Hey Fans!
We have been busy writing, and gearing up for our coastal
run down south. Cannot wait! RollerGirl is now
available online, and has been receiving some airplay
